Two for the road

Happy Friday Eve ladies...

Today I have a mani in honor of the last day of Breast Cancer Awareness month.... I honor this awareness all year round.... Today my mani is inspired by Lakeisha over at www.refinedandpolished.com, I couldn't possibly stop adoring her design so I attempt to flatter her by doing a rendition of it. For a look at her design go here http://www.refinedandpolished.com/breast-cancer-awareness-dots-stripes/.

For mine I used 3 different pink polishes, used a nail art brush for the lines then a dotting tool for the dots.

Ladies please don't allow Breast Cancer Awareness to fall by the waste side, stay abreast of the conditions of your breasts... they're precious cargo.

P.s I used in this mani a untried polish I got from the Dollar General called Broadway Nails. This pink is called "Jenny's Pout", the formula only took 2 coats 2 show a solid finish.

Leopards & studs play together

Hi everyone... Can you believe I had the same mani since last Thursday!!! Wow somebody document that one please!!

Well today I have on just some randomly designed mani I did while watching the Hardcore Pawn show; I honestly had no direction. The polish I used is China Glaze "Life is Rosy".

P.I.N.K- Protection Is Nonstop Knowledge

Hiiiii and HAPPY FRIDAY!!! Boy do I feel like this week took the snail route to get here!!

Ending this week I decided to try something new. I call myself teaching myself how to do acrylic nails but on a dummy hand, I believe I have got the technique down.

Mr. Nailmattic & I will be out & about this weekend and I wanted my nails to be nice. I decided to put on some full cover oval nails by Kiss. I am really smitten with the results.

I don't know tho, how they'll last cause I'm kinda tough with my hands...
Getting into the members of this mani I used different shades of pink as an ode to breast cancer awareness. The main one used is by Essence from the Hugs & Kisses collection, it's called "Sugar Baby Love". The glitter I used is one I got from Rue 21 named Graffiti Top Coat, model named "Dope".

The acronym I came up with for PINK is just a reminder to you ladies that it's important that you are aware of breast cancer, please stay abreast of the health of your breast: Protection Is Nonstop Knowledge.

Sparklicious

Hi all!!

I'm pressed for time, kinda busy day ahead of me...
So today's mani is brought to you by L'oreal, Rimmel & NYC. For my base color I used Rimmel's 60 second polish called "Cupcake Pink", it's a sheer pink that's very soft; not my normal purchase I know I'm a cream girl. This is 2 coats of it at first. On to the glitz of things, I topped off the cupcake with some glitter; who doesn't like sprinkles on their cupcake :).

For the pink glitter I used NYC's "Pink Bling" which features pink and silver fine glitter. Secondly I used L'oreal's magic top coat called "the sparklicious". It has black octagon & silver shaped glitters w/ silver tinsel glitters.

Have a sparkly day.... My talons will!!

The Great Bellini Cerise

Hi lacquer lovelies & happy hump day!!

Today I'm sharing with you my first time doing this nail design technique via Cutepolish YouTube channel, I saw the video so long ago. This technique is so noncomplex and features the use of a basic household item-- a floss stick.

Yes you read that right, with the use of a floss stick you can create a ident design on your nails using two colors. I believe the key is to use the lighter color polish as the base color so that the darker is more apparent on the surface. For my mani I used two untried polishes by Bettina. My base color is called Bellini, it's another rose/blush color like my previous post using "Silk".

Then I used Cerise which is a shade above burgundy, still in the pink position. I simply painted the floss with Cerise enough to coat the floss, then I kinda like rolled the floss onto my nail from side to side. I only rolled it once for each line.

Apply top coat and presto you're done!! You should give it a go.... tis magical to use the simplest things to get amazing results.

Demolished Silk

Happy Monday!!

Why does that sound like an oxymoron lol....
Today I'm wearing a polish I picked up over the weekend from Sephora, it is another one from their Formula X line; this one is called Demolition. It is girly girl to me because of its pink and white glitters and the splash of aqua in it, it's amazing in person I hope I can achieve some justice to you all of it via pics.

These polishes will run you $12.50 in store and online (plus shipping of course). I've paired this polish up with Bettina's polish named "Silk", it's a soft pink polish that resembles even a rose pink color if you don't mind the comparison. They're both untried polishes so I think these two paired up perfectly for their first date, lol.

Sinful Colors Holiday Collection- Pink Icicles

Happy Friday everyone, Friday just doesn't know how much those of us who are off the weekends love it!! I wonder if Friday could pick a sex to be which one would it be lol.
Today I'd like to share with you a little cutesy mani I did using two nail art brushes and one chin hair glitter polish by Sinful Colors. This polish is a part of their Holiday collection. I picked this one and the all white glitter one from Walgreens for 2/$3, it's called "Cold as Ice".

First I made a triangle border on my nails using nail tape, then I used the striper brush and made one color line after the other, pretty simple.
In my Walgreens haul, I picked up The Magic Top Coat by L'OREAL called "the sparklicious". It features black & silver circle glitter with silver bar glitters. It looks like it'll fit the criteria for the perfect New Years Eve mani!!

Check it all out.....

Cotton Candy in the penthouse

Happy Hump Day yous all :) today I'm using two untried polishes for my wear pink on Wednesday mani.

The base color pink is by Orly and it's called Cotton Candy. It was a little thick in texture but the first coat was streaky. The second coat I didn't find to be opaque so I needed a third coat :(. I did like its finished look under the top coat.

For the dots I used Loreal's Pink Penthouse, although I didn't apply this as a base coat to get familiar with the formula performance;it appeared to be the average texture quality when I had droplets on paper.

Love Pink and Sephora

Hi all, I had yesterday off and I'm still in need of a day off!!

This week is the last week of this math class and I'm so happy you all just don't know...

So yeah here's my latest mani using two untried polishes. The pink one is by Pink Victoria Secrets I picked up from the VS outlet, it's called Love Pink; I didn't know they even made polish. They also have a white polish called White Hot. I am not a huge fan of the polish formula cause it is very streaky on the first go round. This is 3 coats with a top coat, it does smooth out in texture with the top coat. I used a Diamond Dry top coat.

The glitter on my accent nail is by Sephora's top coat effects polish. This one is $12.50 and is named Turbulent. I really love the teal and black circle glitter, they plenty of pretty other colors.

P.S. I'll be getting back on IG soon under my blog name Nailmattic, I'll only be following fashion and nail/nailpolish related accounts.

Opi More than a glimmer

Hi ladies and happy Friday eve....

Today I'm wearing a duo set sold together by OPI made for breast cancer awareness month. I got this a while back but waited for this month to come around so I can rock it.

I already own "Pinking of you" and I didn't want to buy it again but there was no way around not doing it; it's for my favorite cause to support so why not!!

I found that the stickers were poorly made because it tore apart trying to peel it off the paper. For my accent nail using yr breast cancer stickers I applied some glow in the dark polish by Sinful Colors on to them for the glowing effect.

Forgive me if it's not that great of a shot.

Support breast cancer awareness.... You've got two reasons why you should!!
