Hard Candy China Doll

Hey people hey!! It's Tuesday and I decided just last night that I am going to start doing "try it on" Tuesday to get control of my untried baskets (I'm too ashamed to show you pics of them--yes them)!!

Here is China Doll, a bubblegum pink formula by Hard Candy and a new release also, which can be found in Walmart for $4. I found that this formula was semi-streaky for the first 2 coats. The third coat seemed to cover up what the second coat couldn't. I am a huge fan of this color pink because it's just so girly to me.

The glitters on my nails are some of the Sephora Formula X top coat effects polishes.

NYC TRIP PICS

Hi everyone, better late than never that I'm sharing with you all some pics from my NYC trip last week....

Mr. Nailmattic and I went to so many places we didn't take pics of (well I didn't) but keep in mind that I'm from NY and he's from Chicago. I spent most of the time showing him places I used to frequent when growing up. I will cherish this trip because he got to be a part of memories that I hold so near and dear to me :) I haven't been back home in 2 years so this trip was a mental refresher.

I finally got a hold of some macaroons on my trip from this cafe called Macaron Cafe in Manhattan.... DELISH ... If you're in the NYC area or plan to visit you should look them up

Macaron Cafe
161 W. 36th Street
New York, NY

I had the mocha then the peanut butter & jelly...

Me in front of the brownstone in Harlem that we stayed in...

You don't just ride the subway, you strike a pose too!!

The Beauty Buffs: Favorite Item Inspired

Hey readers, is that time again... Wednesday anddddddd The Beauty Buffs link up posts.... Yay right!!

Ok so this time around we must post what favorite item of ours has inspired us. It could be anything and I chose a handbag that I bought myself when I graduated with my Bachelors Degree inCriminalistics. This bag is called the Gucci Medium Boston Bag. I've drooled over this bag for many years until Mr. Nailmattic obliged me with going half!!

I truly adore this handbag, def in my top 5 of must have bags.

Brush Stroke Frenchy

Good morning y'all... I'm back home and in need of rest from my mini vacay (proud of myself for doing all the walking tho)

On my nails today I'm wearing a polish I got in NYC by Brucci again, this one is called "French Creme". On my accent nail I decided to try to nail technique "dry brush stroke". This technique is when you wipe off almost all of the polish off the brush then wipe it in short strokes on your nails. I love it with differnt colors.

TNCC Geometric Nails Look #3

Hi everyone, I'm still here in NYC but I must stay faithful to The Nail Challenge Collaborative group round up link posts for the month.

For this design I am using a polish I picked up for $2.69 from a local beauty supply store. This Brucci Polish is called "First Kiss"

Gianna's Rockin Blue

Good morning everyone, I am still on vacation in New York and loving it, but I wanted to make a blog post of my nails from yesterday. We did a lot of walking I went to visit my best friend who I haven't seen in two years. It was such a good feeling to catch up and talk like we were in high school ha ha you know texting and face time can only do so much!!

On my nails today I am wearing a polish by Brucci cold "Gianna's Rockin Blue. The color seems more teal to me though. I picked this up from a Rite-aid store in the Bronx the other day for 3.99, they had a full huge rack of Bucci polishes I was a nail polish heaven.

The Beauty Buffs: Fall Theme

Guess what day it is!!! lol It's the Beauty Buffs Day y'all (it being hump day is just a perk lol).

Since it's right around the corner, Nory appropriately scheduled that we celebrate what we deem all that entails the fall season. When I was contemplating a design, I tried to think of something fast & easy and not overboard. What I think about when I think of fall is plaid because Mr. Nailmattic likes to wear plaid flannel shirts. So for my accent nail design I chose a nail decal by Sally Hansen called "Sweet-Tart-an". The polish on my other digits is SinfulShine's "Devious".

I think iKat

Hey everyone it's Monday (everyone groans lol), but don't be too down about it, you only have 3 more hurdle days to reach Friday :).

So boredom got the best of me last night and I decided to try a nail art that was on my list, the ikat design.... I've seen it done in so many pretty color combos and wanted to see if it is as easy as it looks in the Youtube and it is... The pink polish i'm wearing is from NYC (Walmart) and it's called Lafayette Pink. The navy blue polish is from Milani Color Statement "Ink Spot" and believe it or not it's ONE COAT.

Also, when I'm in the mood (which I am now) for longer nails I put on oval shaped nails by Kiss.

Color Mates Swatches

Hi everyone, I did this post earlier and I clicked publish (or so I thought)... These 3 polishes are ones I picked up in a pack of 3 from Dollar Tree. They are called Color Mates and the formula is about a 8 only because I think the drying time is a little slow but the application is very workable and smooth.

Here are Stormy Weather, Little Blue Box (which is actually green) and French Pink in 3 coats each without a top coat.
