TNCC- Tea Party Nails Look #2

Hello everyone, how goes it for you all on this hot mess weather Sunday? The Mr. and I went out for a little grocery shopping earlier and it started raining, we ran to the car, got in then about a mile into the ride it looked like it hadn't even rained! That's textbook Florida's bipolar behavior!!

I have here to share with you my second look for The Nail Challenge Collaborative's August tea party themed nails. I can't say it proudly that this is a theme I am enjoying, but I am challenging myself to do the best I can.

On my nails as the base color is a minty green polish by Colorina, this is a fairly new brand that was birthed in Puerto Rico (& was only available there). I had been following their IG account hoping that they would be available for purchase in the U.S and finally they created a online store so everyone can join in on the fun. They have a lot of pretty textures, glitters and creme polishes so be sure to check them out, the price is $1.99.

This is Pastel Misty along with rose nail decals that was sent to me by Born Pretty Store sometime last year or so. I have a slew of them I need to use so perfect timing to bring them out.

Breakfast In Bed with Rita Ora

Hi everyone, my Monday went so fast at work by the time I stopped to look at the clock it was 3:30 (fine by me)!!

Over the weekend I spotted these polishes at Walmart for $1.50, they're Rita Ora's limited edition polishes done by Rimmel London. On my nails is the minty fresh color by the name of "Breakfast in Bed". This is 3 coats, no topcoat. The formula is average, not thick and not runny, applies smooth no streaks.

On What Grounds?

Hi everyone and welcome to Monday lol. I had a wonderful weekend, I spent the whole weekend with my son, brother, niece and nephew. My nephew Avin turned 2 last week and we took him to hang out in Orlando. We had a good time.

So on my nails today I'm wearing the third of the 4 set collection from Nopi's Roughles collection. This polish I'm wearing today is called "On What Grounds"? For me this polish gives on a mint or a baby blue appearance (depending on the swatches), on some blog posts they can look either color.

On my accent nail I'm wearing a polish by Rue 21 called Sugar Rush, I guess they got the memo about it not being cool to not have cool names for their polishes lol. The thing is, I didn't get a rush from applying this polish; it's very sheer and streaky. The polish brush is very narrow and doesn't pick up much glitter. The formula is thick and requires 3 coats.

Hail Yes to the nails

Good morning you all... and Happy Veterans Day.

Starting off this week I'd like to share with you a new brand to me called Hail Nails. I came across this brand thru an IG account NailGurlNYC. Tee is a tremendously talented nail artist living in NYC. I implore you all to go check out her work on IG, you'll be thanking me for days. She showed a swatch using this polish by Hail Nails and it looked so creamy I had to sample their product for myself... Yes I can enticed by creme nail polish lol.... You can purchase Hail Nail polishes for $10 from their site www.hailnails.com, they do have promotions also like free shipping codes.

First up on stage is Candy Rain, online this polish looks like a baby blue color but when I got it, it looks more like a mint colored polish. The formula is pretty uniform for a creme polish, for an opaque look I was satisfied with 2 coats.

As an addition I decided to use a polish I got in the mail this week from Polish Addict. This glittery polish is called Cool Summer.

Polish & Co swatches Part 1

Hi ladies, today I'll share with you another set of nailmail polishes I got early this week. I'm following this polish account on Instagram named @simplyissa_. She made a post about these polishes being  for sale for $28 shipped, I liked the colors, thought it was a good deal so I ran with the offer to paypal. I got a total of 6 polishes shipped from Cali.

The formula is in between thick & a little runny but not to the point that you can't work with it; still for all it opaques in two coats so that's a plus. I did not use a top coat with these swatches so you can see they finish with a shine.

This one is TOO MUCH INFO

This is BLESS YOUR HEART

This is MINT TO TELL YOU

This is ONE WEEK OR TWO

Unfortunately after I swatched this green it stained my nails badly, I don't care what people say about base coats; polishes can still stain your nails. So that leaves 2 polishes unswatched, I wasn't about to continue unless I cleaned this green up completely.

Stay tuned for the next episode......

Balloons for a mermaid

Hey ladies, sitting here getting my talons ready for another work week. So I felt myself getting bored so I decided to get creative. So this is what I came up with, this color was very trying in order to come up with a specific color. I had to mix light green eyeshadow, this bahama blue acrylic paint (very little) & some white base lacquer to come up with this. Never will I try this again too much shaking and mixing.

I already had this glitter which I bought from misfitson8th on etsy.com. This has pink squares, pink fine glitter, red & blue octagon shapes in it. I love this combo together.

Here's 3 coats of "Balloons for a Mermaid".

Lady Liberty

Hi all, today I have to show you my mani using the second Bondi New York polish I purchased. Here is a look at Lady Liberty which is a Mint Green color. I really enjoyed Bondi's formula as it's easy to apply, no streaks and in just two coats you'll reach your opaque satisfaction.

I've chosen to layer Color Club's "Wish Upon A Rock Star" over it, which made the perfect glitter mani I was going for; I was in the mood for glitter.

Mint Candies

Hi ladies, well here we are again, back at Monday! I went ahead & took the liberty of scheduling some posts because I will be occupied with a 2250 word research paper on serial killer John Wayne Gasey, it is due in 2 weeks but I've decided to get the ball and bounce on it.

My mani today is a polish by Candie's I picked up while browsing Kohl's department store. I read on someone's blog that they had a spotting of this polish and I decided to take a tour for myself; I remember Candie's store from back in the day. To be honest with you I didn't see anything spectacular about the colors, I believe I already have the colors that they are offering. I went on a whim and picked up two polishes I know I have the dupe to but I am not positive of their whereabouts. In these pics I am wearing the polish called Mighty Mint. It's a green minty color that reminds me of a lime sorbet color, the satisfied opacity for me is 2 coats. This polish has a pretty good formula which isn't too thick or watery. The brush is a good size and the size/shape of the bottle is cute, I really like the diamond shaped top handle. I picked up 2 polishes that retails at $8 but when I got to the register it rang up $5.60 each so that's a plus for the minus; I believe they are available online also. The glitter polish I used is a polish I've had that I purchased from Ross for 1.99 it's called Cosmetic Arts polish.

Enjoy your week ladies and in case I don't say it later I'll say it early HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!
