Being that summer is on its way out of the season (for some of us anyway, but I live in FL soooooo), fall is setting up shop to take over the reigns.

Hello All! I am super excited to announce the KBShimmer Fall Collection 2015.

Color Club Matte Rouge

Ok good lol Good morning beauties, I know I haven't posted in a good minute over here. I have to be honest with y'all, I've been over at my other blog at Wordpress posting like a man woman. I've found that I get so much more love and interaction with my readers over there more than here. I've had this blog on blogspot longer than the WP blog. Nonetheless, I won't give up on this blog-- it's still my baby. 

So let's get right into the meat and potatoes of this post. These 4 polishes are from the newly released collection by Color Club called Matte Rouge. I had such high hopes for this collection, but I will shortly disappointed about the performance of the formula as I applied these. To give it to you straight, the formula is very difficult to work with, it is very thick and applies in blobs. Even when I try to apply a thin layer it still was thick as it was laying on my nails. 

When you did the first layer it dries to like a textured appearance which gives you like a wet dry sand look, by the looks of that you know that you're going to need a second and third layer. This picture is of my nails with two layers.

The only color that I didn't have that much difficulty with is the orange one. It wasn't AS thick, this one is called Perfect Pout.

This next one is the reason why I wanted these polishes, I loved how deep & grape purple the color is, but it is the thickest of the bunch--very difficult to apply. You can even see it on my nails that the layers are thick. This is Plum-P & Juicy.

 

This pink was okay to apply, still thick but it was more manageable. This is Spin The Bottle (I wanted to more than spin this bottle lol)!!

Lastly this pink (which looks almost red in my pics) was a mother effer to apply! Just like the purple it is super thick and no matter how I tried to apply just a thin coat it still came out thick & blobby. This is Mother Pucker (how ironic lol)! 

It's very unfortunate because I'm a huge fan of matte polishes (as I am of matte lipsticks as well). They retail for $8 of the Color Club website. However, this is just my experience with them, maybe I just got a bad batch; who knows. All I know is I'm over that whole swatch session lol.

Where the flowers blow

Hi beauties... I haven't forgotten the name of my blog, I know that nail polish is my first love when it came to beauty items... However I have a makeup obsession as well so can't we all just get along lol!!

Y'all I was too happy that I still have the water marble design technique on lock. These came out superb if you don't mind me tooting my own horn! All polishes used are from Bettina, but specifically the purple polish is called Believe. 

I am so smitten with my nails today I'm even going to show you my right hand!!

JCat Beauty Hydrating Lip Stain

Hi Beauties, how is your week going? It's Friday eve and I'm not sad about seeing these hours turn into Friday lol. I want to share with you 3 lip products I picked up from Ulta, the same day I picked up the Makeup Revolution lipsticks as well. I hope you've had the chance to check out my video and post about them. 

Today I'm sharing you 3 lip stain products by JCat Beauty. For a while you could only purchase this brand mostly sold on their website and in beauty supply stores, however they're now being sold in Ulta Beauty. The cost is $5.99. I wouldn't consider these matte lipsticks just because their labeled as lip stain. 

They do not dry to a matte finish (but they do stain your lip lol). The objective is to be a hydrating lip stain that keeps your lips from being dried out. 

I had forgotten why I stopped buying JCat lippies and I was quickly reminded-- that minty scent! The minty scent isn't for everything, to me definitely not for lip products. This product contains a overwhelming minty scent (but it could be worse). I intended on doing lip swatches but I just couldn't get pass the strong scent, hand swatches will have to work for now. They don't possess creative and witty names but check them out anyway :)

Makeup Revolution Matte Lipsticks

Hi beauties how was your weekend? For me, one word sums it up best--FAST!! I can't tell you how many times I looked at the clock in disbelief that it was that hour already. 

Have you heard of Makeup Revolution London? I've been following them on IG and recently discovered they're now available in our very own Ulta beauty store. I took my happy butt there on Sunday and here are the items I snapped for you all. The prices are amazingly affordable.... But (and there's a big one) I've done a video review on 4 of their matte lipsticks yesterday.
