Sparkles in your eyes

Hey all, HAPPY FRIDAY..... I'm popping in to show you all a swatch from the polish haul I got the other day; yes from Bettina.

I have on here "Sparkles", if u follow me on Instagram (goldensyard) I took a shot of its shimmer in the bottle and knew I made a excellent pick of the batch. It kind of reminds of a mermaid's tail. My niece has Ariel from "The Little Mermaid" movie as a doll and it looks like this.

I tell you that this Brand's formula is so rich in texture, even in one coat you see that you'll only need 2 coats TOPS!! I'm really enjoying this brand so far. On my accent nail I used China Glaze's "Trap-eze".

Peppermint

Hi ladies and happy hump day. I finally got some lemmings I've been eager to try out for the longest. This brand Bettina has caught my eye ever since I saw blogger LET THEM HAVE POLISH post her swatches of them on Facebook. Thru patience I've finally obtained my very own lol. I jumped thru a few hoops to get these because they're on available in Miami & Puerto Rico.

Today I am wearing Peppermint, mind you I have no idea why it's called that but ok I'll run with that. This formula has just right texture for my approval, you will see I have only applied 2 coats for opacity!! I was amazed at its smoothness and drying gloss. I give this polish a 10, it is all that it has been promoted to be... I had some fun with the dots on my accent nails, who doesn't fancy dots ;)......

Meteor Shower of Blueberry Fizz

Hi ladies, top of the morning to ya...... today I have a mani I did on Saturday night out of sheer boredom. Kudos to me for having my two papers done early hence, I have plenty of time to lazy around the house. These two polishes have remained untried in my stash for quite some time now but better late than never. For all those who desire the OPI's Skyfall collection, specifically The Man With The Golden Gun (which retails $30); I think I have a really close dupe to it.

As you can see in the pics below that I first applied two coats of the LA Girl Blueberry Fizz polish, it is scented with blueberries and I must say that it's not a strong disgusting smell. It has a scented lip gloss kind of smell to it.

The gold flaky polish I bought from American Apparel has little gold flakes in it that the brush picks up in abundance to apply to the nail, it is a absolute joy to work with this polish. Check out the pics.....

Pink Parfait

I know that there are a variety of colors in the pink genre of polish, but I just don't see this color as being pink. I picked this up at my local TJMaxx. I was very surprised to see this polish in there because, I went in there after I heard Sation would be available there; but the employees knew nothing about it. They were in the beauty section as usual marked $2.99 for each bottle.
There wasn't a whole lot in quantity but the colors were pretty, I plan to check my other store since we have 2.

This color is more a member of the orange family but I like it nonetheless. The texture reminds me of a mango smoothie. On my accent nail I did a simple nail art of a puzzle piece which is very easy to do; I only watched the YT video once.

Whimsical

Hey ladies, HAPPY FRIDAY!! I am going to love saying this next Friday because, it'll be the last day of school for winter break; classes resume Jan 7th woop woop.

I am dumb late on posting this (as it has become a habit lately), Lacqsofluv and I were browsing in Ulta the older day trying to redeem our monthly coupons when I decided to stroll down the Revlon aisle, which is where I spotted Whimsical. I remember seeing this polish on The Sneakerette's (Lacquer and Laces) page eons ago and finally decided to try it.

I really like the formula mix but it's a little light in texture as it required 3 coats for it to show out the way I wanted it to. I chose to apply it as a layover on OPI's "I think in Pink". It has a green shimmer to it but I found it to be a smooth match on top of the pink, have a look.......

Orly "Emberstone"

Hi my lacquer loves, today I have a mani that I did last week sometime and was too busy to post. At least I can tell you that I've gotten my research paper done a week early woop woop. This polish job I put to use Orly's polish called Emberstone, it's a red-orangy shimmery color. This formula is a one man band, it needs no layering to show its quality.

Having said that the polish shines on its own, I still went ahead and made an accent nail out of the deal by using Spoiled's Shuffle the Deck glitter. It's formula consists of red, silver and black circular shaped chunky glitter.

Verify Swatch

Hi ladies, sorry I haven't been in the posting mood as I stated in a previous post that I was busy completing my 2250 word research paper regarding Sociopathic disorder in reference to John Wayne Gacy. Now I don't do swatches very much because I think it takes up a lot of time, especially with the removal process. I got these polishes from my nail gurl, I haven't seen a swatch of this brand before on a blog. As you can see I've removed the acrylic nails, I only had them on for a week and quite frankly they got in my way. I also messed up the acrylic on one of my nails by trying to remove glitter via the foil process (tragic). I kept rubbing and rubbing which left dents in my nail, then when I tried to file them I just dove further into disaster.

She gave me a few bottles and then I went back and purchased a few more at 2.50 a bottle. This brand is called Verity and while they aren't in a flashy bottle, I can say that the formula needs not flashy intro. The polish names are Lime Yellow, Flower Girl (pink), Gorgeous Orange, Hot Fuschia and Hot Red. I've put 3 coats on each fingers which satisfied opacity. I don't quite like the orange color but the rest I'm ok with them. The formula is medium texture, when it is applied it is not thick or watery; it reminds me of Zoya polishes.

Thanks for looking....
