The Beauty Buffs: Color Block

Hey everyone, how goes it for your week? The real question is, did you all go out and vote? I hope you made yours count. You know what today is right, yep you guessed it THE BEAUTY BUFFS day.

Today us beauties, we celebrate Color Blocking of all walks of fashion and design!! I chose something subtle and classy (in color and design). My base color is "Yo Soy" by Wet N Wild Wild Shine polish. Notice the new bottle shape, I found these new polish at my Dollar General and I counted about 10 new shades. The formula is average but I've swatched some which seem to be a little of the thick side. My color block gold polish is also by WNW and it's called "Ready to propose", its formula was average as well.

Check out the other beauty buffs, color blocking with style.....

KB Shimmer Winter 2014 collection Part 2 *pic heavy*

Hey all *waves*, as promised here is part dos of the KB Shimmer 2014 Winter Holiday collection. These 4 are of some gorgeous glitter bomb polishes, check em out......

This is White Here, White Now! This is thick as textured polish should be (but in a good way), this requires 3 coats and it dries to a beautiful textured look of white circle glitters as if its frozen in snow lol. I love a good textured polish.

Next up is Leaf of Faith which is a thickened velvet colored glitter polish. For some reason I couldn't stop thinking about Halloween while applying this polish. To me this polish had more of a bloody look to it.

Next is Dressed to Gild which happens to me my favorite from this collection!! This polish SCREAMS bling and New Year's Eve mani! Even my boyfriend caught a glimpse of it and said "that's hot babe"!! This is a dipped in gold glitter polish all glitter bomb lovers NEED this polish. Here is 3 coats of it. Its formula is a little thick but when it is applied it lays flat it doesn't bulk up and look sloppy.

Lastly, this glitter formula polish is called Pine-ing for Yule, this happens to be a charity polish for Toys For Tots. This is a holiday inspired glitter top coat that is bossy in all its glory of holographic triangle "Christmas Trees" along with red star tree toppers. From 11/01 to 12/15, $4 will be donated to that charity via KBShimmer sales, how awesome is that!! Here's what they look like.....

Festive- Forever 21

Hi everyone... Welp we made it to the end of the work week. I plan on enjoying a little girl time with my homegirl for dinner and then a tour another friends' new home tomorrow; just relaxing the rest of the weekend!

So here is the last bottle from my Forever 21 haul that I've been showing you all week. This one is called Festive and it has red, gold, green and orange circle glitters in it along wih red fine glitters.

For this one I applied two coats and one thin layer of top coat.

On my accent nail I'm wearing a liquid sand textured called "Honey Ryder" from Mariah Carey's holiday collection with OPI.

Chic glitters

Hi ladies, I haven't posted all last week & with good reason; I was bitten by the cold bug. At first it started out as a sinus issue but before I knew it I was drinking cough medicine and eating cough drops.

So now that I'm feeling better I decided to put a new set of acrylic nails on, and do my nails actually.

Of course I'm starting out my week with my signature color..... pink.

On my nails I'm wearing OPI's "Chic from ears to tail", it's a baby pink colored polish. It's actually kinda light in formula I had to apply almost 4 coats for satisfaction. On my accent nails I used OPI's "When monkey's fly". I got them both for $4.99 at Ulta.

Have a great week!!

Cuccio X Khroma

Hey polish peeps!! Today I have to show you a mani i am currently rockin. This pink brand polish Cuccio is new to my collection, I've seen it tho in Nail pro Mag quite a few times. I thought it was expensive but they were $3 in my nail supply store. The formula is workable not thick but definitely not runny. I applied 2 coats.

The gold glitter is from the Kardashian line called Khrome. I spotted it in Ulta this weekend while looking for something to use my $3.50 coupon on, they're $5.99. The glitter is very runny but it spreads evenly. This is two coats with 10 minute drying time in between.

2 X's Swagg

“No one on the corner has swagga like us”….,

MIA said it first, then Deborah Lippmann seconed the notion….. Uhh apparently someone does Deborah..... Looking through my stash yesterday filled with indecisiveness about my mani I spotted both of the above near each other (laughing to myself, this is a set up), in the first pic on the left is “Gold Rush” by TheGap and “Swagga like us” by Deborah Lippmann; they had to have been seperated at birth. I’d claim them to be fraternal twins because their formula has 99% similarity, there is a distinct difference between the two and I plan to elaborate. Giving u a little known fact about myself, I am also a fraternal twin; my brother is 15 minutes older. We are extremely close but have different formulas to our biological makeup! I’ve painted my ring finger and pinky with TheGap polish. The Gap’s gold/bronze formula is lighter in texture and bears more green reflection in light, while DL’s polish is darker and keeps a gold/bronze appearance with less green reflection in light. The Gap polish costs $6 (it was on sale so I paid even less for that) while DL polish stands firm at msrp of $16. I must say that you don’t stand to lose if you choose theGap, sometimes the name just isn’t enough for product satisfaction. I won't be naive to think I stand alone with my dupe experience, link me with dupes you’ve compared if you like, i'd like to see it.
