DIY Fix Broken Eyeshadow

Good morning and happy Friday :))

So for those of you who might have broken their eyeshadow in pieces, you probably just threw it away like I do. I should say like I used to... that is until I googled how to fix broken eyeshadow. It is a very simple process and cool I'll add AND with the use of simple household items. During my traveling, I realized that I had broken one of my favorite eyeshadows by Milani. I also received as a gift an eyeshadow by Jordana which arrived broken :/

So the simple process is this.... you take your broken up eyeshadow, pour a little bit of rubbing alcohol in it (the higher the percentage the better it works faster). Stir in the alcohol to a creamy substance of the eyeshadow. Then you tap the eyeshadow container onto a hard surface a couple of times just to level it out, leave it out overnight so it has more than enough time to harden back to its original form.

I chose to put mine in the refrigerator overnight. The next day when it has hardened, you need to press it out slightly with a coin or a piece of paper so that your hands don't get all messy; you should be able to use it after that.

Some say that this process changes the appearance of the eyeshadow, but I've used it and nothing changed.

Moi Bella

Hi everyone, wow I haven't posted all week and with good reason (well not really good but I'll tell you). I have been dealing with a stomach bug since Friday. It has been passed through my house occupants except for Mr. Nailmattic lol.

I am back to feeling 100% better though. I wanted to put on a face today using these two makeup products I bought last week. My lipstick is by Wet n Wild and it's called Urban Night, I got from CVS for 1.87. I love the dark appearance to it however, it's not as dark as I would like it so I used it in conjunction with a black lipstick. My eyeshadow is by Milani and it's called Bella Fuchsia.

Have any of you tried either of these products? If so, how do you rate them?

Sprinkle Me with Pink

Top of the morning to all ah yous out there, how yew doin today? Good I hope, for the simple fact that you're alive and just one day closer to FRIDAY!!

This is day 16 of my October is for Pink nails, Breast Cancer Awareness month. On my accent nail I am wearing a polish that I picked up from a beauty supply in NY (Harlem) when I visited last month, it was only .99. This glitter is plentiful when picked up by the brush and it spreads evenly and not sporadically. However, the name does not match its appearance, it's called Snow Red; the colors are a neon pink and orange?!

The pink polish I am wearing is by Milani called Shocking Pink.

I think iKat

Hey everyone it's Monday (everyone groans lol), but don't be too down about it, you only have 3 more hurdle days to reach Friday :).

So boredom got the best of me last night and I decided to try a nail art that was on my list, the ikat design.... I've seen it done in so many pretty color combos and wanted to see if it is as easy as it looks in the Youtube and it is... The pink polish i'm wearing is from NYC (Walmart) and it's called Lafayette Pink. The navy blue polish is from Milani Color Statement "Ink Spot" and believe it or not it's ONE COAT.

Also, when I'm in the mood (which I am now) for longer nails I put on oval shaped nails by Kiss.

Corrupted Coral Flower Power

Hi all and Happy Friday, I am TOO THRILLED that it's Friday!! Although I have plans not to have any plans, you never know which way the wind might blow me to.

I have two polishes on my nails today. The Milani polish I'm wearing is from the new bottle shape & name found at your local CVS. This polish can seriously be a "one coater" IMHO. The formula was such a smooth apply; this color is "Corrupted Coral".

Now for the glitter top coat effect, which is by Salon Perfect and I got it from Walmart for $3.98. I can't say that I own a lot of these polishes. I have to tell you all how much of a difficult apply this was for me, the glitter was not easily accessible for the brush. I actually had to do glitter placement for a few fingers out of frustration. I am actually not too thrilled about using the other 3 I picked up from this line, but I'll try to stay positive. This glitter polish is called "Flower Power".

I still love the glitter combo regardless. What are your plans for the weekend?

Metro Pollen-Tin Sugar Rim

Hi all, we are almost to the work week finish line.

On my nails today is another China Glaze "City Flourish" collection polish, this yellow/mustard colored polish is called "Metro Pollen-Tin". The formula was streaky with the first AND second coat :/. The third coat did an okay job covering all roads leading to opaque.

The overlay of glitter is from Milani called "Sugar Rim". This polish reminded me of the floam glitter polish. I compare it to Salon Perfect's top coat glitters.

For My Sugar Rush Thistle Do Nicely

Hi all,

Today on my nails I am wearing another one of China Glaze "City Flourish" polishes, it's called "Thistle Do Nicely". This is a vibrant pink polish that dries matte. I don't think I was able to catch the true color of this polish using my iPhone, but I had no problem with the formula application. While polishing I had Flip Flop Fantasy in mind, they have the same pop color to me.

On my accent nails I'm wearing this recently released glitters collection by Milani, this one is called Sugar Rush. This glitter has orange, green, silver and white circle glitters.

Milani Textures

Hi ladies, today I have 4 swatches to share with you from the Milani "Texture" collection. Zoya sent me the Zoya Pixie Dust polishes however, I wasn't too thrilled about the colors. These texture polishes takes some getting used to, several times a day I rub my nails and it's startling sometimes when I feel the roughness of them. I really liked the colors to this Milani collection so that's why I chose to get these. The finish reminds me of when concrete is being mixed. LOL.

So many other brands are jumping on the band-wagon with this texture polish trend such as China Glaze, Julie G and Jordana, not to forget the OPI Liquid Sand collection with Mariah Carey.

Anyhoo here's my donation to the Milani bank account.
