Lipstick Vampin

Hey everyone, guess what day it is??? If you said Friday, I’ll say no but I like the way you think lol. Nah but for real it’s HUMP DAY (at least it’s another day closer to Friday right). Today I don’t have a nail related post for you, I have a makeup post for you lipstick lovers in the league. Some may say that these lipsticks I will show you are dupes, but I say that they’re LIKE another brand that is probably more expensive #ballingonabudget.

You know the dark vampy lipsticks are all the rage now going into the winter season so ladies, you better be trying to stock on all the good goods!

Here I’ve done a quick swatch on the flat side of my lower arm simply because I didn’t feel like putting on and taking off the lipsticks. Here are:

1)NYX Cosmetics- Copenhagen,

4) NYC Color-Mahagony 

5) Wet N Wild Cosmetics- Cherry 

Bomb.

My boo right now is Transylvania cause I love a vampy lipstick on my brown skin and it’s a good dupe to WnW’s (Vampin it UP). Which one(s) are you lovin?

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Stripes Look 4

Ahhhh it's so hard to say goodbye to striped nails lol no but for real it is, it's one of my favorite designs; but we must move on....

This is my look #4 for my striped nails design for TNNC. I am using Jordana's polish named "Creamy Fucshia" and just used a white striper by Sinful Colors and finished it off with a matte top coat by OPI.

KB Shimmer Winter 2014 collection Part 2 *pic heavy*

Hey all *waves*, as promised here is part dos of the KB Shimmer 2014 Winter Holiday collection. These 4 are of some gorgeous glitter bomb polishes, check em out......

This is White Here, White Now! This is thick as textured polish should be (but in a good way), this requires 3 coats and it dries to a beautiful textured look of white circle glitters as if its frozen in snow lol. I love a good textured polish.

Next up is Leaf of Faith which is a thickened velvet colored glitter polish. For some reason I couldn't stop thinking about Halloween while applying this polish. To me this polish had more of a bloody look to it. 

Next is Dressed to Gild which happens to me my favorite from this collection!! This polish SCREAMS bling and New Year's Eve mani! Even my boyfriend caught a glimpse of it and said "that's hot babe"!! This is a dipped in gold glitter polish all glitter bomb lovers NEED this polish.Here is 3 coats of it. Its formula is a little thick but when it is applied it lays flat it doesn't bulk up and look sloppy.

Lastly, this glitter formula polish is called Pine-ing for Yule, this happens to be a charity polish for Toys For Tots. This is a holiday inspired glitter top coat that is bossy in all its glory of holographic triangle "Christmas Trees" along with red star tree toppers. From 11/01 to 12/15, $4 will be donated to that charity via KBShimmer sales, how awesome is that!! Here's what they look like.....

KB Shimmer Winter Holiday Collection Part 1 *pic heavy*

Hey everyone, I have some exciting polishes to show you all today.... I am a new member to the KB Shimmer blogger society and I am glad I took the opportunity given.

This collection I am about to show you is of some new polishes KB is bringing to her customers this winter holiday, it consists of smooth cremes and blinged out glitters. Let's get this viewing party started.

This creme polish is called Stonewashed, 2 coats without a topcoat. I am a creme girl and I love a good 1 or 2 coater-creme polish. This polish would be great in just 2 coats, but if you want a deeper look with this color you cannot go wrong with layering another coat. In my mind some gold flakies would look fab over this color.

This next one is a glitter-lacquer polish called Mauve Over. This is a pale mauve creally base which sets off a explosion of colored hexes in orange, navy, and aqua. Polished in 3 coats, no top coat. When I first started buying indies, this formula was my route, I couldn't get enough of this type of polish. The brush picks up the glitter plentiful and it doesn't takes hours to dry, it took about 5 minutes under my dryer. However, the orange hexes appears as red to me in certain views.

This next polish is called Snow Way! It is a snow inspired polish which features a pale sky blue creally base with white glitter. There is also a micro sparkle that glistens as you would see, when you see fallen snow on a clear winter's day. I loved how this polish applied, it wasn't gloopy or clumpy and to me applied in a smooth formation even though there were chunky glitters enclosed. 

Lastly, this is Kringle All the Way. It is a glitter top coat with circle glitters in red, green and silver. I really liked the color combo in this, perfect for the upcoming Christmas holiday. If you're looking for the perfect festive polish, look no further than this model. I wasn't able to pick up the larger silver circle glitters as I would have liked to on the first try, but giving the bottle a shake and twist provided me a better opportunity.

Moi Bella

Hi everyone, wow I haven't posted all week and with good reason (well not really good but I'll tell you). I have been dealing with a stomach bug since Friday. It has been passed through my house occupants except for Mr. Nailmattic lol.

I am back to feeling 100% better though. I wanted to put on a face today using these two makeup products I bought last week. My lipstick is by Wet n Wild and it's called Urban Night, I got from CVS for 1.87. I love the dark appearance to it however, it's not as dark as I would like it so I used it in conjunction with a black lipstick. My eyeshadow is by Milani and it's called Bella Fuchsia.

Have any of you tried either of these products? If so, how do you rate them?

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Stripes Look 3

Hey people Hey!! 

What's good on this lazy Sunday? I can tell you that any desire I had to leave the house left my body once I started doing laundry. At least I have clean close and bed sheets right!!

Today I have to share with you my look #3 for TNCC stripes themed nails of the month. The polish I am using is by Nuance which is sold in CVS for $5.99, this model is called Pink Grapefruit. This is 3 coats and a 1 thin coat of top coat.

Sprinkle Me with Pink

Top of the morning to all ah yous out there, how yew doin today? Good I hope, for the simple fact that you're alive and just one day closer to FRIDAY!!

This is day 16 of my October is for Pink nails, Breast Cancer Awareness month. On my accent nail I am wearing a polish that I picked up from a beauty supply in NY (Harlem) when I visited last month, it was only .99. This glitter is plentiful when picked up by the brush and it spreads evenly and not sporadically. However, the name does not match its appearance, it's called Snow Red; the colors are a neon pink and orange?!

The pink polish I am wearing is by Milani called Shocking Pink.

Muy Bonita Miss Piggy

Hey people!! How as your weekend? I had a nice 3 day weekend full of nothing lol. Oh wait, the Mr and I did have date night on Saturday and we went to Applebees. We always seem to gravitate there as we both are in love with the 4-Cheese honey bbq chicken tender pasta dish (pic to follow)

So for my Day 14 of wearing pink nails the whole month AND "try it on" Tuesday I am wearing Bonita polish "Miss Piggy" & a NOPI roughles textured polish on my accent nail!!

The Nail Challenge Collaborative-Stripes look 2

Good evening!! 

I am really doing the mostest with the postings today aren't I lol. There's no law that says I can't post more than once right :)

I wanted to get the second look to my striped nails for The Nail Challenge Collaborative theme of the month. I did something easy and cute to me, seems like a cute color combo for Halloween as well too right.

The polish that I am using is one I bought from Party City (I believe this brand is a sister brand to Color Club--it bares the same bottle shape and labeling). The color is called Funnel Cake (two coats).
