Makeup Revolution Matte Lipsticks

Hi beauties how was your weekend? For me, one word sums it up best--FAST!! I can't tell you how many times I looked at the clock in disbelief that it was that hour already. 

Have you heard of Makeup Revolution London? I've been following them on IG and recently discovered they're now available in our very own Ulta beauty store. I took my happy butt there on Sunday and here are the items I snapped for you all. The prices are amazingly affordable.... But (and there's a big one) I've done a video review on 4 of their matte lipsticks yesterday. The Beauty Buffs: We Wear Pink On Wednesdays

Today all us Beauty Buffs are rocking pink, not cause we are mean girls; but because we all look beautiful in PINK!!

I am wearing a polish called Miami Pink that I got from Forever 21 a few weeks ago!! In some views it has a redish tint to it but in person it's for sure for sure pink!!

Maybelline Matte +Poreless Foundation

Hi Beauties....

I wanted to show you all my first day of trying Maybelline's Matte +Poreless foundation. I am a foundation hoarder and have been on the hunt for my holy grail foundation. I've used Maybelline Matte Mousse foundation for a long time so now I want to venture out. I also purchased a foundation from BECCA cosmetics so I'll let you know how that works out for me as well.

I want a matte finish because I hate the shiny oily look (who loves that kind of stuff). I Will be editing my post at the end of the day to show you all how it looked after at least eight hours. 

I am wearing #355 color foundation and from the start I notice that it quickly covers up some black marks I have on my chin area and others. Below is a before and after look. So far I like it.

I'm working on keeping my skin healthy so that makeup is just a perk... Excuse my eyebrows also btw :)

Essence Adorable Matt

TGIF Beauties, it's almost time for the freakin weekend (& end fast it does)!! 

Today I blindly took a lippie from my stash and chose a red matte lipstick I got months ago from Ulta. 

Essence is a UK based brand in case you didn't know and their products are cheap and cute. This lipstick is only $2.99 but it backs up its talk. It's red just the way I like it and it's matte just the way I like it!! This color is a true red called Adorable Matt!!

P.S. peep my way of hiding my pimple above my lip with a made up mole lol.... It works for me :). 

Too Faced Cat Eyes Purrfection Makeup

Hey beauties, happy hump day!! I know I'm off to a slow start with posting this week but I manage to jump start my mojo today. The Mr has landed a new and exciting job which he started on Monday so we've been busy managing our time, we now work the same hours M-F (yippee)!!

So let me show you all this little goody box I purchased from Ulta on Monday. I don't own any Too Faced products, this caught my eye as it was displayed right by the door (they know what they're up to lol). It is $35 plus you get a free gift. 

You can see from the pics the eyeshadows are named cat-affiliated. I love the leopard print brush and the color scheme of the eyeshadows. As a gift you get a Better Than Sex mascara, another eye primer cream and a black eye pencil.

Beauty Tag I'm It

Hey beauties!! I've decided to get in on this beauty tag questionnaire that I've seen floating around on a few blogs... Check out my answers....

What foundation do you use? I use a variety TBH, I really like Maybeline NY mousse or MAC studio fix 45 but I just finished using Shea Moisture Wet or Dry pressed powder and I've hit pan on it!!

What about concealer? I use a variety again, E.L.F HD concealer, Ruby Kisses, Ofra Cosmetics or LA Girl

Do you know your undertone color? No, I'll check into that

What do you think about fake eyelashes? I wear them occasionally, I like to wear mine short or only on the end corners of my eyes. I don't care for the dramatic ones.

Did you know you are supposed to change your mascara every three months? Really, no but it makes sense because I found one this morning that's completely dried up and I haven't had it for long.

What brand of mascara do you use? Ofra Cosmetics & LA Colors  

Sephora or MAC? Sephora because they have a bigger nail polish & makeup section.

What make up tools do you use in your make up application? Foundation brush, foundation sponge, eyeshadow brush, blush brush.

Do you use a make up a base and primer for your eyes, what brand? Yes I use a variety of different primers for my face and eyes. I have started using Ofra Cosmetics silicone face base and eye primer. I also use E.L.F eye primer. I sometimes use Hard Candy's dark spot concealer face primer and NYX photo finish face primer.

What is your favorite eyeshadow color and brand? Right now I'm into Milani's eyeshadows I love Bella Gold (it's a almost my go to every day shadow).

Eyeliner or Not? Eyeliner (come on now)!

What is your favorite lipstick and lipstick finish? Right now I'm loving all matte finish lipstick. I am currently living for Milani's Matte lipsticks. However I really love Ofra Cosmetics "New Orleans" on me.

HAPPY FRIDAY Y'all we made it!! Do you all have big plans for the weekend or do you still have Christmas shopping to conclude? I don't care about Christmas I'm always up for shopping lol!

So today I wanna share with you all two lipsticks I got from the beauty supply store a few weeks ago. You all know Kiss Products, I didn't know they made lipsticks as well. I found these bad girls for $2.99. They're not a matte finish but every now and then you need a nice smooth creamy lipstick, am I right or am I right... RIGHT!!

I haven't yet worn them to give you an honest review of their performance, but don't let that stop you from taking a look at these creamy shades...

The Makeup Show Orlando Recap *pic heavy*

OMG!! Well everyone I am finally back home from my adventurous weekend! As I told you all earlier this week I was attending The Makeup Show Orlando which was held on November 15 and 16th. On Friday I attended along with the Beauty Bloggers of Central Florida girls and a bunch of other bloggers! 

The famous MUA "JVincent" was the speaker for the blogger preview night and he is such a fascinating man! He gave us a summary of what to expect to see as far as products and who to expect to see as in brands and famous make up artists!!

We all received a tote full of goodies from various brands. I will not go through in this post what I have received, but I will tell you that I have uploaded a YouTube video showing you all what I received.

However, in this post I will be showing you some of the pictures that I took while at the event, check it out!!

The Makup Show Orlando-It's going down!

Hey everyone!! I know I haven’t been really busy posting and whatnot, but rest assured that I am always thinking of what I can give you all to set your eyes on what's going on with me. So speaking of which, I got some deets on the event The Makeup Show Orlando that will be going on live and direct this weekend and your girl will be front and center as it’s all going down. I missed out late year being out of the loop on how to join in on the festivities, but this year I refused to bite the dust!

The Makeup Show Orlando is a huge showcase of all the beauties in the business BIG BUSINESS I want to add. This year the event will be on November 14-15. I will be attending the blogger preview which is tomorrow from 4:30-5:30. Be sure to keep tabs on my IG (Nailmattic) and my YouTube (yes I tube) channel (Nail mattic). I will be recording everything (and I won’t be yelling WORLD STAR).

I Tag Me-Beauty Survey

Hey my peoples, sorry I don’t have a fab mani to share with you all today, but reading this post by Varnishingpoint, I liked her little polish beauty survey and thought it is a cute idea so consider it *STOLEN* lol and if it's any consolation, I added a few more to make it more funner (yes I said funner).

So here’s my job and this little beauty Q & A:

1.     What’s your favorite nail polish company? I’d have to say OPI or Bettina Cosmetics

2.     Glitter or no glitter? Yes, the removal process has gotten so much easier that it’s safe to wear glitter still lol.

3.     OPI, China Glaze or Essie? OPI because I like the wide brush and the fast drying time.

4.     When do you change your nail polish? I normally change it every night #don'tjudgeme, but it really depends on my mood.

5.     What’s your favorite color on your nails? Pink mostly, I don’t favor dark colors

6.     Darks or brights? Brights, I love colorful nails, I have to be in a real bad mood to wear dark colors—you won’t find too many in my collection.

7.     What are you wearing on your nails right this moment? Just 1 coat of Sinful Colors base coat.

8.     Matte nails… in or out? In!! In the beginning I didn’t care for the matte look but with certain shades it has won me completely over.

9.     Do you like French manicures? Uh, I mean…. I don’t hate it, but I haven’t worn it since high school; not really my forte’

10. What’s your favorite winter color? Reds

11. How many coats is too many for opacity? more than 3

12. What cheap in price brand polish have you found to be good quality? Wet N Wild polishes are .99 but they opaque in 2 coats for me!

13. Nail technique you're pretty good at doing? Water marble

14. How old is too old for nail art? It depends on the type of nail art

15. How many "no buys" have you successfully completed? NONE!! LOL

Citric Acid-OOTD 7/12/14

Wakey Wakey.... I should've posted it yesterday but we were so busy enjoying our day (we as in Mr. Nailmattic and I). Now that I have my photographer with me 24,7, I'll be posting more OOTD from wherever we venture out to.

Applebees was our destination and I wasn't in the mood to get all fancy shmancy. I threw on a pair of Acid Wash jeans I got from Forever 21 and a top I got my TJMaxx (name never heard of). 

On feet is a pair of Nike Air Max 1 "Citrus".

LA Girl Lip Paint Coy & Blushing

Good day folks, today I'd like to show you 2 pigmented lip paint glosses that my boyfriend picked up for me last Friday from Kmart. I mean I was there, but I told him to pick two colors for me. 

I initially wanted the Too Faced lip paints but they're weren't available in stock at my Ulta (seems like they're quite the popular ones around these parts.

Blushing is a mauve or rosey pink color that isn't loud which is why I like it. 

Next is Coy which is a purple pigmented lip gloss that doesn't turn I to plum or red when applied. 

The only drawback to these lip glosses is the minty scent, it isn't overwhelming or nauseating but it does take a few ticks getting used to.

There are plenty of women who don't like handbags, of course you aren't one of them; how important of an accessory is a handbag to you? and why? I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE a nice sexy bag. My handbag helps start off my outfit. It gives me my mood for the day. It helps determine if I'm going to be sexy, sophisticated, or casual.

What handbag are you currently wearing? MICHAEL KORS LARGE TANGERINE BOWLING SATCHEL/SHOULDER BAG. 

What is your most preferred handbag style and why? I love MK!!!! His brand seems to have a style fit for everyone and at a reasonable price. My fave styles consists of a nice satchel or shoulder bag. The bigger the bag the better (with kids especially).

Top 5 items you must carry in your handbag? #1- Lip balm {With a back up}, #2- Lotion, #3- Wallet, #4- Kindle, and #5- Gum :o) 

What handbag is currently on your wishlist? I have 3 bags on my wishlist……#1- Celine Nano, #2- Chanel Boy Bag and #3- Prada ………Which is where they'll stay until I can afford one…..LOL!!!!!

Besides a nice handbag, what other accessory is an important piece to your attire? Accessories are a must!!!!! But my all time fave piece is a nice WATCH!!! I have so many I started hiding them from my husband (what this watch? Oh it's old ;).

How do you justify an expensive handbag purchase? I always have to justify a handbag purchase to my husband no matter how much it may be. This is how I sell it to him…LOL…. "Baby they had a sale going. Guess how much I paid?" This works for the most part. I normally get my expensive bags on sale. I can never see myself paying full price for anything. I worked for a dept store up North called Century 21 which carries all types of name brands {D&G, Prada, Moschino, Seven for all Mankind} just to name a few. Things at this Dept store sell at discounted prices. I recommend it if you're in the NY area to hit this place up you will fall in love.

What do you like the most about the handbag you're currently wearing? I for one LOVE the color. I like a bag that pops but can be worn with many items. I also like that I can fit lots of stuff in it without looking funny or being too heavy.

Finish this sentence: If (designer) asked me to design a handbag, the material I'd use is? If Fossil asked me to design a handbag, the material i'd use is a nice subtle leather.

Turn up the pink lights

Hey it's me again, here with my latest mani of the Ombré nails going light to dark. Now I've seen this trend done in several different colors and was immediately fascinated with the look. It's a no brainier that you'll need 5 different shades of your color of choice. Next all u will need to do is decide beforehand what your objective color flow is, I wanted to go light to dark starting with my thumb. I used Avon's Breast Cancer Awareness, OPI "Pink-ing of you, A Date to knight, Pink Flamenco and Koala Bear-y. My favorite colors that I've seen it done in is the yellows, pinks, purples, greens.
