30 day nail challenge Day 28- Fashion

As promised in my last post, here are my fashion nails. These nails are based on some of my favorite leggings prints.

Zoya "Zenith" '13 Collection

Hi ladies, how's everyone's Saturday going? I had to work until 10:00 (went in at 7:00) came home and slept. I know I'll be up till wee hours of the morning so I guess I'll get my swatch on.

I actually forgot Zoya sent me a code and it had been in my inbox until I started seeing other bloggers swatch theirs, like a little kid I'm like "hmm where's mine"?

So here they are, I had to cut my nails done because one tore off as I was putting on a sweater :(.

This is Seraphina

This is Mosheen which is a glittery silver and turquoise bar glitter- don't really care for it, at least not over the silver.

This is Dream- this is actually my favorite of the bunch, it's glossy w/I a top coat and it has this galaxy effect to it.

This is Payton

This is Cassedy

This is Belinda

Stay tuned for my fashion challenge nails and some more swatches.....

30 Day Nail Challenge Day 26- Gradient

Happy Friday you all....

I'm late posting this because of the swatch fest I dove into yesterday. So here are my challenge nails which are gradient glitter nails.

Both polishes are untried ones, the glitter is from LA Girl's latest release of Splatter polishes; this one is called Splat which are red & white octagon shaped glitters. The orange polish is by iPolish called Hot & Spicy.

Polish & Co swatches Part 1

Hi ladies, today I'll share with you another set of nailmail polishes I got early this week. I'm following this polish account on Instagram named @simplyissa_. She made a post about these polishes being  for sale for $28 shipped, I liked the colors, thought it was a good deal so I ran with the offer to paypal. I got a total of 6 polishes shipped from Cali.

The formula is in between thick & a little runny but not to the point that you can't work with it; still for all it opaques in two coats so that's a plus. I did not use a top coat with these swatches so you can see they finish with a shine.

This one is TOO MUCH INFO

This is BLESS YOUR HEART

This is MINT TO TELL YOU

This is ONE WEEK OR TWO

Unfortunately after I swatched this green it stained my nails badly, I don't care what people say about base coats; polishes can still stain your nails. So that leaves 2 polishes unswatched, I wasn't about to continue unless I cleaned this green up completely.

Stay tuned for the next episode......

Swatch-A-Thon Jessica '13 Fall Collection Night At the Opera

*press sample*

Hi everybody, today I have to share with you some beautiful and enchanting colors brought to us lacquer lovers by Jessica polishes. Jessica representative Anat Barashy sent me these this week and I couldn't wait to swatch.

I'm not a fall color person but I just took a liking to the way these colors meshed with my skin tone. All polishes were applied with 2 coats and no top coat.

I don't want to take up too much of this post rambling on so I've labeled each pic with the names of the polishes. I'm loving the darker colored polishes on me. So needless to say Velvet & Pearls and Blue Aria.... We're feeling each other! Lol

I've got my nails set for the fall now you ladies need to get to falling in love with these colors.... Make them fall into your shopping cart on www.jessicacosmetics.com and in your local cosmetic retailers.

30 Day Nail Challenge Day 25- Metallic

HUMP DAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY *Camel voice*

Today is metallic nails for the challenge and it's probably my least favorite type of polish. I did manage to find one in my stash. This is an untried polish by Cherimoya called "Metallic Blue". I don't know if it's just me but this color shows no signs of blue, more green (in person) or silver if anything. At any rate, here's two coats of it.

30 Day Nail Challenge Day 24- Tape Mani

Hi all, today is tape design mani and I must say this USED to be one of my favorite nail techniques. I don't know if I'm matching up the wrong colors or what but anyhow this is what I ended up with. I wanted to do like a equalizer design but ehhh fell kinda short of coming through with it.

All the polishes used are by Bettina. The pink is called Bellini, Garnett & Cerise.

30 Day Nail Challenge Day 22- Neon

Hi again, post #2 playing catch up....

Today is neon and my heart just skips a beat when I hear that word NEON, my favorite type of color.

For this mani I used an array of brands but I've posted a shot of the ones I've used.

30 Day Nail Challenge Day 21- Flower

Hi peeps I know I'm a day late but better late than pregnant lol I meant never lol.

Today is flower nails for the challenge and I just chose some simple looking flowers nothing too fancy shmancy!

I used two untried polishes from Paula Dorf's collection. The red polish is called "Runway" and the blurple polish is called "perfectly purple" I really enjoy the formula on these polishes, you can't beat two coat opacity!

30 Day Nail Challenge Day 20- Border Mani

HAPPY FRIDAY POLISHED PEOPLE..... Today I've done a border mani on my nails as instructed by the challenge. I have used an untried polish by Nanacoco called "I am cute". This is a tweety bird yellow colored polish that opaques in two coats. I love yellow with my skin color for some great reason.

The silver glitter polish on my accent nails is by another untried polish by LA Girl Glitter Addict called "Explosion".

Have a great, fun & safe weekend you all...

30 Day Nail Challenge Day 19- Glitter

Hi all.... Today is Friday Eve (that's what I tell myself to make it thru the day) :). I've come online to share with you another fun filled day of nails but this time accompanied with glitter.

This glitter polish is called "splatter" made by the store Icing. It's quite like the Sally Hansen, Hard Candy & LA Girl splatter polishes recently released. Of course there's the uniform black & white polish but they've managed to come out with other nice colors too.

This one I picked up is a formula with a mixture of blue & white glitter. I'm also using Pure Ice's polish in gradient form called "Celestial".

30 Day Nail Challenge Day 18- Sugar Spun

Hi everyone, today I am using a polish brand that is new to me. A fellow IG polish addict (The Bronx Polish) made a post about loving this polish by the name of Glam Glam nail candy and implored all nail polish addicts to check them out. Once I learned that they're from the same part of The Bronx I am from, I knew I had to get my support on!! Upon following them on IG and then Facebook, I messaged the ladies behind the Glam Glam to get the goods on what the glam is all about…. Below is a little bio I received straight from Tekecha and Nosha……..

"Glam Glam Nail Candy consists of an array of vibrant, bright, long lasting, and trendy colors. Glam Glam Nail polish is safe and free of toxins such as Toluene, Dibutyl Phthalate, Camphor, and formaldehyde. Glam Glam Nail Candy is a New York City based toxin free nail polish line that was created by long time best friends Tekecha and Nosha Vega. Getting our nails and feet done is just one of the many ways we get together and bond. On one of our spa dates we found ourselves conversing about our love of nail polish, all of the beautiful bright colors that debut each season and the idea of starting our very own line came up, and we went with it, and here we are today.  Our goal is to provide our customers with safe, beautiful, eye catching colors that are sure to get compliments.  We believe that all women have "glam" in them
and all women enjoy being pampered.  Manicures and pedicures are a major part of that pampering. Painting your nails and toes allows you to experiment with nail polish and its array of colors. It is also a way to express your personal style, mood, and personality. Most importantly, we want to be apart of making women look and feel good about themselves".

*You can purchase Glam Glam polish by contacting the ladies via their email glamglampolish@yahoo.com. You can view a collection of their polishes on their Facebook page. Also be sure to check them out on Instagram and Twitter (GlamGlamPolish). Polishes will run you $6+ shipping.

Today is also day 18 of my 30 day nail challenge which calls for Sugar Spun nails. I’ve tried this technique twice before and received lots of compliments on its results. I hope I’ve done the polish and technique much justice….  The colors I am wearing today Femininity (Pink) and Blue my mind. The formulas are a easy spread and showed no sign of streaking. This is 3 coats of Femininity, I normally like to wear 3 coats of any pink polish I’m wearing. The blue polish has a shimmer to it while possessing still a cream texture to it. It took a while for the blue polish to get tacky in order for me to do the drizzle effect, but I guess in other instance that’s a good thing.

30 Day Nail Challenge Day 17- 3D Nail Art

Omg ladies am I in big trouble in nail challenge land or what!!! I got so behind in this challenge it's crazy....

Well moving on today I have a polish I got in a set by Paula Dorf that I purchased from Marshall's in Chicago. The set of 3 is $6.99. For this challenge I used PD's "creamsicle" & Sinful Colors "Clementine" in a gradient under the 3D fruit nail decals from bornprettystore some months ago.

At first I was going to stop doing the challenge cause I had fallen behind but I'm going to finish it out....
